Chelsea free to sign Gomes, Video – Koulibaly on the move, Christensen excited by arrivals, Pep hands us Sancho boost in news roundup..

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Chelsea target Angel Gomes is yet to sign a contract extension and will leave Manchester United.

Frank Lampard is trying to put together one of the most exciting sides in the Premier League and is looking to add to that talent when the transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time.

There was speculation in the media suggesting that we are interested in trying to steal Gomes away from Manchester United in the summer, as the 19-year-old is out of contract with the Red Devils ends today, when he will be free to leave for nothing.

Now it seems that we have been given the green light to try and complete a deal for the exciting Gomes, after Solskjaer opened up and confirmed that the young man will not be leaving the club when his contract is up.

A club statement said: “Manchester United can confirm that Angel Gomes has not taken up the offer of a new contract and has, therefore, left the club.

“Everybody at Manchester United would like to wish Angel the very best of luck for the future and thank him for his efforts for the club.”

Chelsea have been handed a boost in the race for Jadon Sancho as Pep Guardiola ruled out Manchester City moving for the England ace.

There has been so much transfer speculation in the media about the future of Sancho that fans do not know what to believe, and whether or not our club will actually make a transfer move.

But there had been some speculation in the media which has suggested that Manchester City may seek to try and bring him back to the club in the transfer window, as they seek a replacement for Leroy Sane, who is heading to Bayern Munich.

Sancho spent time in City’s academy before leaving for Borussia Dortmund three years ago, and a return to the Etihad has been mooted, But Guardiola cannot see that coming to pass.

“No, no, no,” HE said on TalkSPORT. “He decided to leave. Why should he decide to come back?

“We wanted him to stay like Eric Garcia and Phil [Foden] but he decided like Leroy now and myself, when I decided to move to other countries to be a manager, to move.

“When he decided to move to Dortmund it’s not because he is going to decide to come back one year later. It would make no sense. He didn’t want to be here, so that is why I think he doesn’t want to come back here.”

There could not be a chance for Chelsea to sign up Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer window for a bargain.

We all know that Frank Lampard would love to spend some big money and land the world class players that will make a real difference to the side in the transfer window, and he would love a world class defender

But one player that is seemingly out the budget is that of Koulibaly, who is easily regarded as one of the finest defenders in the game right now, but had a massive £105 million price tag on his head, but the latest rumours to hit the media may have handed them a real boost.

In the video below, we discuss the possible Exit of Koulibaly, why his asking price has been dropped and just why we should make a move.

Andreas Christensen has opened up and revealed his excitement at the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.

We have already generated plenty of headlines in the transfer market having sealed the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, as they seek to close the gap on Liverpool and challenge for that Premier League title next season.

But bringing in top players, and looking to add a few more in the transfer window, means that there will be alot of pressure on Lampard to be a success next season, especially as they will need to win a trophy or two.

But with the pair on their way to the club in the coming weeks, Christensen is excited about the future of this squad, and is excited about what they pair can bring to the club

He said on the SUN: “I played against Werner quite a few times when I was in Germany so I know what he can do and what sort of player he is.

“I haven’t played against Ziyech but I’ve seen him a lot and I think they can both bring good things to the club. We’re all excited to see what they can bring.”

He added: “We are in a process but I think we are way ahead of time,’ he adds. We know what we’re capable of. We feel very comfortable and confident at the moment.

“We have a good balance between experienced people and young, exciting talent and we’re all hungry to reach the same goals.”
