Koulibaly opens door to summer Chelsea move after making transfer announcement
Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has admitted he is flatted by the interest shown in him by Chelsea.
Koulibaly has become one of the best defenders in Europe after developing very nicely over the past few seasons and his performances have caught the attentions of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
[the_ad id=”164″]It is no secret that Maurizio Sarri is a massive fan of the £90 million rated defender and would love to add him to the squad, especially with all the defensive issues that are surrounding some of the poor results over the past few months.
It is believed that we will make a move during the summer transfer window to try and secure a deal for Koulibaly in a deal that could exceed £100 million, and amid all the rumours that Napoli want to keep hold, Koulibaly has now spoken out about a potential move. away from the Italian club.
‘My future? I don’t know if I’m one of the strongest defenders. I always try to give my best,’ Koulibaly told Rai Sport.
‘Since I’m here, I always try to grow with Napoli. I have a lot of motivation to go on and I want to keep doing this.
‘I am pleased that many teams follow me, but I want to demonstrate on the field that I am at the level of the greatest and I want to show it in the future.’
Here is what we think about a possible deal for Koulibaly.
Koulibaly is a world class defender that would be a brilliant signing for us is we were able to complete a deal in the summer. But Napoli wont want to let him go easily and will demand a bigger fee than we are probably willing to pay.
He would be a world class signing and would certainly help our defensive issues.
