Chelsea told hold talks with Lyon over Emerson, Kante makes big admission and Bellingham makes transfer decision in IcChelseanews Roundup…

Chelsea and Lyon are all set to open talks about a summer transfer deal for defender Emerson Palmieri.

There are a number of players that could leave the club at the end of the season after failing to agree a new contract with the club, and there are also a number of players that fancy a fresh start in the game.

And Emerson is a player that may finally get a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge when the transfer window opens up in June, as he has settled very nicely over in French football since his loan move began at the beginning of the season.

There were rumours that Chelsea were open to bringing him back in the January window, but despite all the speculation, that did not happen and he could now be all set to depart the club on a permanent basis.

That’s according to journalist Ekrem Konur, who has claimed French side Lyon are keen to make the defender’s recent loan move permanent and are set to open talks with the Blues’ hierarchy.

Emerson didnt really do anything wrong at the club before he was sent out on loan, but he was just fed up of sitting on the bench ever week. So if he does decide to leave the club on a permanent basis, it could be a very smart decision.

Yes he is still a Chelsea player, but at the end of the day, he has been enjoying himself out in French football and is getting regular minutes on the pitch, so why would he want to come back and just struggle in that Blues side?

Chelsea transfer target Jude Bellingham has grown increasingly agitated at Borussia Dortmund but has vowed to remain at the club for at least another season, the latest reports in the media have claimed

Chelsea are in the headlines alot over the past few days as speculation about who will buy the club from Roman Abramovic is what everyone is talking about after the Russian confirmed that he will be selling the club in the next few months, even weeks.

But long-term target Bellingham is a man that the club are still very much interested in despite all the headlines this week, and rumours suggested that the Blues would still make a move at the end of the current season to try and get a deal done

Already considered the driving force of Marco Rose’s midfield, Bellingham has racked up six goals and ten assists in all competitions this term in all competitions.

However, Bellingham has been outspoken with his frustration in recent weeks and there have been fears within BVB’s hierarchy that he could push to leave, with the club ready to make a massive £100 million transfer offer.

But Bild claim the England international has made it clear to Dortmund chiefs that he will definitely be staying put for the 2022/23 campaign and possibly beyond.

BVB head coach Rose has even been forced to defend Bellingham’s hotheadedness after the youngster was involved in altercations with Axel Wiesel, Youssoufa Moukoko and Nico Schulz: ‘Where Jude comes from, you possibly speak a bit more rough in English. That’s part of it,’ he told reporters

‘Jude wants to win, he’s angry and that’s part of him as a player.

‘It’s something we actually need more of at Dortmund.’

The fact he has decided to stay at the club will not come as a massive shock to the Chelsea board, or anybody else, it is probably the right decision for now

French midfielder Ngolo Kante has opened up and admitted that he sees his long-term future with Chelsea, amid speculation that a move to PSG in the summer could be on the cards for the World Cup winner

Kante is easily regarded as one of the finest and toughest players in this squad and a man that no fans would want to leave the club, but there has been a feeling that he would be interested in leaving

It is no secret that a move to PSG over the last few seasons has been muted, with the French giants keen to secure his services, and the midfielder open to the idea of heading back to his homeland for the final few years of his career.

But amid all the speculation about his future, Kante has claimed that his side are fully focused on securing a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League and then gave an update to the fans about his long-term future.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “We are in a good position for the top four, we are fully focused on going game by game and securing the top four.

“It will not be easy as we still need to win many games but we train hard and hope to do it, starting this weekend.”

On his future, he added: “Yes, since I came here I’ve spent many great seasons, with the team, the managers and the fans.

“I hope we can carry on like this, keep winning, and that’s the way I see the future.”
