Madrid star opens door to Chelsea move, £200 million target told to make move, £100 million Sancho transfer claim made
Guys here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer news from icchelseanews.com over the past 24 hours.
Achraf Hakimi has opened the door to a possible Chelsea move in the summer window with his latest Announcement.
There have been some reports in the media suggesting that we are planning for potential new signings in this coming transfer window, as they seek to improve the side.
It will mean that Frank Lampard will be able to delve into the clubs transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad that will add some experience, and quality in the right areas of the pitch, as the defence is not the best at Stamford Bridge
That has led to alot of speculation in the media linking us with a whole host of possible summer signings, with some of the biggest names on that shopping list of Lampard, but now it seems that he has turned his attentions to Hakimi.
Hakimi is due to return to Real this summer after two years at Dortmund and the defender revealed he is yet to decide where his future lies, opening the door for Lampard to swoop in and try to get a transfer deal done, He told Cadena SER: ‘Who does not like it [being linked with big clubs]? I am proud of what I am doing.
‘In June I will have to make a decision and it will be a great step for my career. In theory, my contract ends in June and from there I have to return to Madrid.
‘I have not yet had contact with Madrid on this matter, but I imagine that soon we will have some conversation to find out what is best for me.’
‘I don’t know when my contract ends, that subject is taken by my agent,’ he added. ‘It is the same contract that I signed in 2017.’
Paul Merson does not believe the likes of Chelsea will be spending over £100million on Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.
We may be concentrating on getting back in training and trying to get back inside the top four for Champions League football next season, but there has already been alot of speculation in the media about players that Frank Lampard will try and sign in the summer to improve his squad.
And one of the players that is reportedly on the shopping list of the Englishman is that of Sancho, who has become one of the most talked about players in the game and has been constantly linked with a move to the Premier League, with all the big guns linked with a swoop.
However, with the Coronavirus outbreak taking all the headlines, The Sky Sports pundit predicts big transfer fees will become a thing of the past due to the coronavirus pandemic and no big club will be willing to pay £100 million for Sancho in the summer.
[the_ad id=”164″]Writing in his weekly column for the Daily Star, Merson said: “All the talk about Jadon Sancho commanding a £100m-plus transfer fee has been blown out of the water if you ask me.
“Borussia Dortmund are said to be demanding in excess of that figure for one of Europe’s hottest young talents, but they can forget it.
“There’s no way that’s going to be happening. It’s gone – over and out. Top clubs can’t be putting staff on furlough and then start forking out that kind of money the minute the transfer window opens.”
Phil Thompson has told Chelsea transfer target Harry Kane that he should leave Tottenham if he wants too.
Regarded as one of the best strikers in the game right now and one of the main reasons why Tottenham are such an exciting team to watch, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few days about the future of the England International.
Kane has not won any trophies just yet and with Spurs seemingly heading in the wrong direction under Jose Mourinho, he recently came out and admitted that he may have to leave the club in order to get the success that he is looking for.
[the_ad id=”164″]Now Liverpool legend Thompson has told the Spurs man that he should leave Spurs, He told Sky Sports: “If you’d asked me about Kane needing to leave during the middle of last season, I’d have said ‘no’ because I could see Spurs winning trophies.
“But Tottenham have regressed. Without doubt that interview with Jamie Redknapp was one of the first times we saw a chink in his armour where he was doubting whether the club was in the right position.
“He wants to win things and he was saying that he’s not set in his ways. If Spurs can show their commitments to try to move forward with signings in the summer, then I’m sure Kane will stay there but ultimately the decision lies with the player.
“You don’t want a disenchanted player in your dressing-room. Liverpool have had it in the past with Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho, and it makes for a bad atmosphere.
“I know he’s a good guy, but if he somehow gives that inkling that he wants to leave, Spurs would then have to move forward and would have to sell him.”
