Chelsea reportedly offered chance to sign Pjanic in summer swap deal for midfielder Jorginho
Chelsea have reportedly been offered Miralem Pjanic from Juventus as part of a swap deal involving Jorginho.
Despite being an invaluable member of the side before the coronavirus stopped football from being played, There has been big transfer speculation in the media that Jorginho could leave the club this transfer window.
He barely featured towards the back end of the Premier League season under Frank Lampard, as the club legend preferred to give the younger stars a chance to show that they are the future of the club.
And The Italy international’s agent claims Juve wanted to make the deal with the club before Maurizio Sarri got sacked offering Pjanic to the club in a bid to try and take Jorginho in the opposite direction.
“Juventus had offered a swap deal including Miralem Pjanic, but the English side didn’t take it into consideration,” Joao Santos told Tuttomercatoweb.
“[Juve sporting director Fabio] Paratici never called me. Would he have moved to Juventus with Sarri? I think so.”
Look, we rate Jorginho, you guys all know that, but if there was a chance to get Pjanic signed for the club, we should have taken it as the middle maestro is one of the best in Europe.
Maybe there is still a chance to get Pjanic, as Juventus are still reportedly very keen to try and sign up Jorginho.
