Lamps address Jorginho Havertz rumours, Chelsea urged to replace Kepa, Gerson has transfer message to icchelseanews roundup…

Frank Lampard addressed transfer speculation surrounding Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.

Lampard knows that he needs to keep on improving his side in the summer if he wants to close that gap on the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City to challenge for that Premier League title.

We all know that Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech have both been brought in to help improve the attack, but Lampard is still reportedly keen to add the exciting Havertz to the side in the transfer window.

With 37-goals in the last few seasons and a whole host of big clubs circling for a potential deal, Havertz is one of the brightest talents in the game and a player that many  fans would like to see arrive for £80 million in the summer.

Lampard was asked about such speculation ahead of Saturday’s Premier League fixture at Sheffield United, but kept his cards close to his chest.

“Unfortunately it’s another answer from me, that that is not something I want to broach at this moment in time,” Lampard said on the Metro.

“My focus is completely on the game. So, I don’t want to give you any ifs, buts or maybes for the summer, my focus has to be on the here and now.”

Closer to home, Italy international Jorginho once again finds himself being linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge, with reports suggesting that he is keen to make that move back to Italy and link-up with former boss Maurizio Sarri.

But Lampard again refused to comment on his future: “Again, I keep getting asked about next season,” he added

“To be honest, it is irrelevant what happens next season.

“These final few games will define how we look at this season and look forward to next.”

Gerson has no interest in leaving Flamengo despite reported interest from Premier League giants Chelsea.

We have been a side over the past few weeks that have been looking to get our transfer business done very early, so new players can get settled into their new life in the Premier League.

And despite some big-time names being linked with the club, there has been some speculation in the media suggesting that Gerson could be a man that could make the move to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £30 million.

After an unsuccessful stint at Roma, Fluminense youth product Gerson returned to Brazil after an €11.8million (£11m/$13m) deal was agreed with Flamengo in July 2019, and since then, The 23-year-old has won the Campeonato Brasileiro, Copa Libertadores, Supercopa do Brasil and the Recopa Sudamericana, while the Campeonato Carioca could be secured next week.

We have been keeping a very close eye on the development of the winger, especially with all the transfer talk that Willian is leaving the club, but it seems that we actually may not get the chance to sign the man, after he insisted he is happy at Flamengo.

“After a year with Flamengo, I can promise that I never spoke with another club. My focus is totally on Flamengo,” he told Globo Esporte

“I feel at home, I am happy, I am wanted and I am at a club that is on the level of European sides.

“We can’t shut doors, football shows this, but today I am very happy and fulfilled to be in the club of my heart.

“I rediscovered myself here and I want to win yet more trophies in this shirt.”

Frank Lampard has been urged to bring in a new goalkeeper because Kepa Arrizabalaga is “not getting better.”

Kepa is the world most expensive stopper after we decided to fork out for his services once Thibaut Courtois finally got his move to Real Madrid just a couple of transfer windows ago.

The Spaniard has not been amazing, but he has been solid between the sticks since his move,  and there hasnt been many in the media that have doubted that he could be the clubs number one for many seasons.

It has been claimed that there is an agreement in place for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir to come in this summer, in a deal that could cost the club around the £29 million mark.

And amid the speculation, we have been urged to complete a deal for a new stopper this summer, Andy Townsend told Premier League Productions: “I actually think here even though there’s a double deflection, I’m still looking at the goalie there.

“Can’t you have done something a little better than that?

“Even if you punch this because you’re not sure you might have just knocked it to one side rather than just flapping it straight down in front of [David] McGoldrick.

“I don’t know, the goalkeeper’s a big talking point and clearly is going to be something they’ve got to consider.

“They’ve invested a lot of money in him but he’s not getting better.”

Kepa is a very young stopper, but he has not looked that impressive this season, and we are starting to get worried that he is not the long-term solution to Thibaut Courtois?
