Jimenez ready for Chelsea move, Giroud agrees personal terms, Chelsea fans react to possible Chilwell deal.

Ilkay Gundogan says he can see “world-class” Wolves striker Raul Jimenez could play for the likes of Chelsea.

Jimenez has impressed since joining Wolves on loan from Benfica in the summer of 2018, a deal that was made permanent for £30m last April, and the Mexican has repaid the faith the Midlands side showed in him this campaign, scoring 22 goals and assisting 10 more to help them to sixth in the Premier League as well as the last 16 of the Europa League.

We have been linked with a move for Jimenez over the past few weeks as they seek to do a number of transfer deals that will turn the club from a top four chasing side into a Premier League chasing side.

And Gundogan has opened up and announced that he believes that Jimenez is good enough to join him at Manchester City, but is also good enough for every top six side in the Premier League, Gundogan told ESPN: “I think he has everything a world-class striker needs. For a striker he is so mobile, but also physically so good and talented technically on the ball. I can imagine him playing with us.

“Maybe [he’s] not on that level yet, but he reminds me a little bit of [Robert] Lewandowski because I’ve played with him.

“In terms of style I think there is still a lot of potential. It’s so difficult to predict but I think [Jimenez] would get a chance in every single top-six team and there’s a good possibility he could do well.”

Chelsea star Olivier Giroud has “already agreed personal terms” with Inter Milan according to reports.

As we have said before, the whole world is gripped by the Coronavirus outbreak that is stopping everything from running smoothly, killing thousands and stopping us from enjoying the game we love on a weekly basis.

But that has not stopped speculation in the media about possible departures,  and there was even speculation in the media that Giroud was all set to leave during the January window, but we failed to sign  a new striker, meaning that Giroud had to stay put.

But the 33-year-old French striker has started to become a big part of the plans, meaning that he is now needed in the side and recent reports have suggested that he is in talks to sign a new deal at the club.

However, reports on the SUNDAY SUN have claimed that Giroud is all set to depart the club at the end of the season, as he has ‘already agreed personal terms’ to sign with Inter.

Inter boss Antonio Conte has already tempted Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young and Christian Eriksen to the San Siro and Giroud is set to be the latest to move to Italy, as reports suggest that he has agreed a three-year deal with the Italian giants.

Chelsea fans have reacted to reports that they could end up signing Ben Chilwell in the summer transfer window.

We are actively seeking to improve the back-line in the summer transfer window and add a new left-back to the side, which has meant that Porto star Alex Telles has been the clubs number one transfer target for months now.

But reports in L’Equipe have claimed that PSG are closing in on a deal to take Telles to the French League for a fee of around £35 million, which is alot more than we wanted to pay.

And that means we may have to turn their attentions to the possible signing of Ben Chilwell, who is easily regarded as one of the finest left-backs in Europe right now, but could cost anywhere between £60-80 million to sign in the summer.

And even though he is playing at the top of his game right now, fans have taken to social media to voice their anger at the possibility of losing out on Telles and signing the expensive Chilwell, here’s what they’ve had to say on social media…

“If PSG sign Alex Telles for £25m & Chelsea sign Ben Chilwell for £60m I’m actually going to cry,” one said.

“Chilwell 85m this summer smh,” another added.

“Knowing us we’ll spend 80+ million on Chilwell,” said another.

“Chelsea about to get fleeced for Chilwell too,” added a seventh.

“It’ll be such a shame if we get Chilwell,” another said.

“You want me to take this club seriously when we’re letting Telles go for £25m,” said another.

“Watch us end up with Alonslow for another session or try bargaining £70m for Chilwell now,” a tenth added.
