The father of Wolverhampton Wanderers striker and Chelsea target Raul Jimenez has admitted his son is flattered by transfer rumours.

Jimenez has become one of the most talked about players this season after another impressive campaign with Wolves, which he has shown his true ability and quality on that pitch on a weekly basis.

His performances this season has led to alot of speculation in the media about his next club, with the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Juventus have all been suggested as potential destinations for the 29-year-old who has scored 22 goals this season.

Now, his father has come out and admitted that his son is flattered by all the interest that has been shown: “Raul has always said so, it’s something very cool” Raul Jimenez Snr told Medio Tiempo.

“He’s very happy at his club, hopefully getting into positions for Champions League and Europa League at the moment. Always for him, all of that will be very gratifying, very cool to hear those comments.

“Right now is the time of rumours, God willing the league hopefully resumes next month and that’s where we are right now.

“The rest, there is nothing. He’s only commented on what he sees that they publish, but nothing at the moment.

“Later if there is something different, it will be seen. But now, yes, they are mere speculation and rumours.”

Look, it will be a massive surprise in the summer to still see Jimenez at Wolves as he is surely heading to a big club during the transfer window. He will not cost alot of money and for that £40 million, he could be a top-class buy for the club.
