Chelsea are again considering a move for Achraf Hakimi should Reece James jump ship and make a move to Real Madrid this summer
James is considered to be one of the clubs most valuable players after developing into one of the best in the Premier League – and he is a player that Thomas Tuchel would hate to lose in the coming window
However – recent reports in Spain claimed Real Madrid have made Reece James their number one target to strengthen their right-back position over the summer, as Los Blancos are keen to provide competition for Dani Carvajal during the summer transfer window.
They considered a host of targets, including Sporting’s on-loan defender Pedro Porro, but James has emerged as the club’s first choice after another impressive season with the Blues’
And according to the same reports – James is very much open to the ideal of leaving the club for the Spanish League as he likes Real.
Now – According to The Athletic – if James does decide to depart the club over the next few months – then the club are very much interested in trying to secure a transfer deal for Hakimi
Hakimi was on Chelsea’s radar last summer when they were having similar thoughts about the role – but the former Inter Milan star opted to make the mega money offer to sign with French giants PSG
Hakimi played 41 times in his debut season for PSG and he contributed four goals and six assists – meaning that we would have to offer something sensational to prise him away from the French outfit

Even though Hakimi is a very good player – fans would prefer to see that money used to keep hold of James by offering him a new contract – that he deserves
