Italian tells Chelsea fans talks are happening for £127M man

Fabrizio Romano has opened up and told the likes of Chelsea that AC Milan are in talks to sign up attacker Rafael Leao
The summer transfer window is not shut – new boss Graham Potter cannot bring any long-term signings to the club – but there is still alot of speculation about the players he missed out on
After helping AC Milan win that Seria A title last season – Leao has become one of the most sought after young attackers in the game – with the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid also interested in a possible deal
He probably would have left Milan during the summer window – if they did not request that clubs meet his £127 million asking price before they do any business – but they now plan to keep hold of the lad
Although Rafael Leao has garnered significant interest from Chelsea, AC Milan are confident that they can tie down the player to a longer deal and have already begun negotiations, as reported by Fabrizio Romano in his column for CaughtOffside.
“Despite some rumours of contract talks stalling, AC Milan have been negotiating with Rafa Leao for a long time and talks will continue in the next months – anything more than that is speculation,” he stated.
“His contract expires in 2024 but the club has always refused any approach as he has a €150m release clause. So far, the situation is quiet, but the future will be decided by next summer,”

Leao is at that stage where he is not worth so much money – so therefore – his agent needs to get that asking price down or he will be going nowhere
