Juventus legend Alessio Tacchinardi does not want CHELSEA linked Federico Chiesa to be sold this transfer window.

We have suffered immensely in the flanks this term with Raheem Sterling underwhelming. Meanwhile, the North Londoners have heavily depended on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in their wings.

The Euro 2020 is now seemingly on the market ahead of Thiago Motta taking over as Juventus boss, as Sky Sport Italia recent stated he could be “sacrificed” and is “on the market” for interested clubs.

Roma and Napoli are interested in signing the 26-year-old, but it is believed that Chiesa would be open to the idea of making a move to the Premier League this summer window.

But In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb Juventus legend Alessio Tacchinardi said: “If Juve sell Chiesa, for me they are making a mistake. Yes, he has breaks on the pitch, but he has a terrifying engine on an explosive level, in one-on-one he is unique and you have to give him freedom of action.

“At Juve, they never saw the real Chiesa. Chiesa has always felt misunderstood, but he has enormous potential that is still unexpressed. And, for me, when you have a strong player in the team, you keep him.”
