Chelsea’s new directors and recruitment gurus are working their magic as they’re closing in on a deal to bring Benoit Badiashile from Monaco.

The season is back up and running after a break for the World Cup in Qatar – but we are only a few days away from the opening of the January transfer window – and the possibility of a few players arriving at Stamford Bridge

Graham Potter is a man that knows he needs to add some more quality to that squad – and the January window will give him a chance to sign some players that will make a real difference to the side.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that negotiations between the two clubs are reaching their final stages with an “expectation” the deal will be wrapped up “soon” with the 21-year-old “keen on the move” to Stamford Bridge.

He Tweeted: Negotiations are progressing to final stages for Benoit Badiashile to join Chelsea, expectation is for the deal to be completed soon for €35/40m fee.

#CFC There’s an agreement in principle on personal terms with Badiashile, he’s now keen on the move as reported yesterday.’

The lad is very talented and definitely one for the future – and the money that is being talked about – fans will love this.

However – the club will be also hoping that there are a few more signings arriving in the winter window as Badiashile will not be enough to help the club win that Premier League title
