Italian confirms Chelsea door open for midfielder to make January move
Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano says that the door is open for Carney Chukwuemeka to leave CHELSEA in January with a loan move the most likely option for the midfielder.
The midfielder has endured an injury-laden time at the club since signing from Aston Villa and has really struggled to make any sort of impact at Stamford Bridge which means that he will be a big part of the plans for Enzo Maresca.
Now it has been claimed that we are open to letting the midfielder leave the club in the summer, and Marcesa has given the green light over a possible transfer move to happen.
Romano adds that Borussia Dortmund and Strasbourg are the clubs interested in negotiating – Romano posted to Twitter/X: “Understand Chelsea have opened doors to Carney Chukwuemeka’s exit this month on loan deal!
“Expected to be a paid loan with salary covered and NO buy option clause. Borussia Dortmund are pushing, in active talks for Carney on loan… another option, loan to Strasbourg.”

Stamford Bridge was a big move for the lad and one that has clearly not worked out – it was the wrong decision at the wrong time for the lad and his career so the best thing for him and the club is to depart.
It is a shame to see that such a talent struggled to make any sort of impact here at the Bridge, but at the end of the day, some players are just not able to make that step up in the game you know?
