Inter tells Chelsea that long-term target is OFFICIALLY free to leave in January

Chelsea target Christian Eriksen is free to leave Inter in January, club chief executive officer Beppe Marotta has confirmed.

Since his move to Italian football, it has not worked out like he would have hoped with Inter and he has been constantly linked with a return back to the Premier League, with our club one of the favourites to get a transfer deal all wrapped up.

Now Marotta says Nerazzurri are ready to listen to offers for the former Tottenham man: “Yesterday, Conte answered in a very comprehensive way,” Marotta told DAZN, with the head coach having already been asked about Eriksen’s long-term future.

“I clearly add that we will not hold a footballer back if they ask to be transferred. We will have to make the right evaluations.

“Conte is using [Eriksen] with respect for the player and the club. At the moment no offers have arrived, but at the appropriate time we will try to make the right decisions.”

Eriksen made the mistake leaving Tottenham believing the grass was going to be greener over in Italy, but would  fans really welcome a man that was loved by so any Tottenham fans, but failed to make any impact on the Italian League.

Yes he would add some creativity to the attack, but at the end of the day, he would struggle to make any sort of impact on a side that plays different kind of football to what he would enjoy.

He is not the kind of player that we need, and to be honest, dont want!
