Sarri alert! Chelsea officially told £36 million Inter Milan star Perisic ‘has handed in transfer request’

Long-term Chelsea target Ivan Perisic has handed in a transfer request at Inter Milan, the Italians have revealed.

Perisic has been in the transfer headlines for the last few months after having a very impressive world cup with Croatia, with a number of top clubs showing a strong interest in trying to secure a summer deal.

But along with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham, we have been given a huge boost after Inter director Guiseppe Marotta told Sky in Italy that the £36 million rated winger has now handed in his transfer request.

He was quoted on the Sky Sports: “Perisic has asked to leave but there is no offer for him. We will see in the coming days.

“We will listen to the request of Perisic, he has put in a transfer request; we must try to satisfy him but also respect the value of him.”

However, Inter have no interest in loaning out Perisic this month and are seeking a permanent deal for his signature, with reports they will accept £36 million for his services.

Head coach Luciano Spalletti said: “It’s a player that has been talked about because everyone values him as much as we do, and if anyone wants to buy him they will need to pay him good money because we rate him a lot.”

Should we make a move for Perisic?

The physical star is one of the best wingers in world football and his experience at the very top of the game would certainly be a real asset for Maurizio Sarri, but right now we do not need him and we would rather see the money spent on a new defender, as that is one of the clubs weakest areas.
