Chief executive confirms Chelsea talks over summer deal for powerhouse

Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta says the club are in talks to re-sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks as it seems that he does not want to stay at Stamford Bridge – and instead wants to depart and re-join Inter Milan on a loan deal or a more permanent one
He has really struggled back in the Premier League and looks like a player that is not able to keep up with the pace and the quality of the Premier League – and Inter are very keen to take him back to Italian football
The Italians never wanted to let Lukaku depart the club – but were forced as we offered far too much money for the player – and far too much money on a weekly basis to the Star himself
Now -amid all the speculation – Marotta has opened up and revealed that the two clubs are in talks over a possible deal for the powerful striker: “I can say that today will not be the day of Lukaku’s announcement,” Marotta told Radio Rai. “Lukaku and [Paulo] Dybala are our targets, but we need to consider financial issues.
“We are in talks with these two players and we’ll be happy if we sign them. If not, we’ll consider different targets.”

It seems that Chelsea are looking to get Lukaku off the books before they try and sign an adequate replacement – but it is best for all parties that he leaves the club
He is not Premier League material and honestly – it was a massive mistake to bring him back last summer
So the news that he looks set to leave the club and head back to Italian football – it is probably best for everyone involved
