Incoming Chelsea signing sets record, 90M star speaks on Potential Blues move, Chelsea closer to £127M signing
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys could have missed..
According to Spanish sources, CHELSEA have taken a ‘step forward’ in their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz aand he would be a quality signing according to reporter Iomie Stanley
It is no secret that the club have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer windows over the last few seasons, and it is also no secret that Enzo Maresca wants to add a bit more quality to the side in the next few windows.
And that has led to reports that we will once again delve into that transfer kitty in the January window and try to add a few new players, with Wirtz a man that the club now want after another impressive season for Bayer Leverkusen this time around
The Leverkusen midfielder had a stellar season in the club’s unbeaten domestic campaign, scoring 18 goals and registering 20 assists on the way to the Bundesliga and German Cup trophies.
Stanley said: ‘it is believed that a few of £127 million would be enough to convince the Germans to part ways wit their talented midfielder
‘Wirtz is the next big thing in German football, the lad is being chased by all the games biggest clubs and will have his choice to choose from when he officially decides to leave Leverkusen.
‘Paying over £100 million for the lad seems like alot of money, but we have seen Chelsea do that for players that are not even close to the quality of Wirtz, so we can see this transfer happening.
‘Wirtz would be a quality signing for the Blues, but as we said, the club will have his choice and we dont think that CHELSEA are high up on his destinations.
MESSINHO SETS RECORD
CHELSEA youngster Estevao Willian has become the first U18 player to record 20 goal contributions in a single Serie A season in Brazil.
Estevao made just 22 senior appearances for Palmeiras before Chelsea made the decision to swoop in and bring him to the Premier League, although he will not be arriving until next season.
Overnight, Estevao was in action with Palmeiras against Gremio and the teenager ended up scoring the goal that not only sealed all three points for his side but also set a new Serie A record.
It was his 12th goal of the season – in his 27th appearance – and combined with his eight assists, it meant that Estevao became the first player under the age of 18 to record 20 goal contributions in a single Serie A campaign.
Sandro recently admitted that he is very jealous he will be playing in the blue of Chelsea rather than the white of Spurs – Speaking toOnlineCassino.com.br he said: “All I can say about Estevao Willian is that Spurs should’ve bought him first.
“He is a great player and has shown in the last few years that he can take players on, shoot and is so skillful. He is an exciting player to watch.
“I’m not happy that he’s signed for CHELSEA but he is the sort of player that can change the future for Brazil, he is one of those players. He is a top player and I think he’s ready to play in the Premier League, as long as Chelsea give him time to find his best level and take that next step.
“There is a massive difference between football in Brazil and the Premier League, but If he trains hard then he can be one of CHELSEA and Brazil’s top players.
Neymar was asked in a recent interview with TNT which player among Brazil’s current generation of young stars made him the most excited, and he picked out Willian – who has been labelled Messinho by his followers.
Explaining his choice, Neymar added: ”He is a great talent that is emerging in Brazilian football today. I think he’s going to be a genius.’
OSIMHEN SENDS TRANSFER MESSAGE
On-loan Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has addressed rumours that he could leave the club in the January window and make the move to the Premier League, where CHELSEA fc are reportedly ready to sign the Nigerian star up.
Osimhen ended up joining Galatasaray on loan for the season in the summer and has scored six goals in eight games for the Turkish club, which has led to allow more speculation that a move to Stamford Bridge could happen in the January transfer window.
Osimhen has now made it clear that he intends to see out the season with Galatasaray, who are currently three points clear at the top of the Turkish Super Lig and are third in the Europa League table after a 3-2 win at home to Tottenham on Thursday evening.
‘I’m here as a Galatasaray player, I’m happy here,’ Osimhen said after scoring two first-half goals in the win over Spurs.
‘Since I came the Galatasaray fans, the club, I saw how big a family this club is. The way they have treated me and my family in a wonderful manner. It’s important to be able to give them my all on the pitch.
‘I’ve seen a lot of the speculation linking me out of the club in January, I can state through me now I’m going to be here until the end of the season.
‘And then I don’t know what Galatasaray and Napoli are negotiating but of course, if they come to me to speak about one or two things regarding this club I would consider it, of course.
‘But now I’m here, I’m focused on this team, I’m focused on the objective the club has set and I want to give my all and make sure that we win the league and if we can go further in the Europa League we can win it also because we have a good squad.
‘So far I’m enjoying my stay in Istanbul, it’s an amazing club I’m in. I’ll be there, for me it’s important I’m enjoying my football right now, I’m doing a lot for myself and my family and, of course, for this club. I’m happy to be here.’
