Viktor Gyokeres would ‘definitely’ be a success at CHELSEA, says former Blues star John Obi-Mikel, as the rumours continue to swirl regarding the gifted striker.

Gyokeres has once again been in tremendous form for Sporting Lisbon this season and already has 23 goals to his name, with four of those coming in the Champions League against Defending champions Manchester City.

He has been heavily tipped with a move to the Premier League, with many believing that he could follow Ruben Amorim to Man United, while it has been claimed that Arsenal are very much interested as they seek to add a 30 goals a season striker to their attack.

But asked on his Obi One Podcast if he thought the striker would be a success at CHELSEA , with some reports claiming that the Blues have already made contact with the players representatives, the former midfielder replied: ‘Definitely. For me, he is a Premier League player, he’s a player that suits the Premier League.

‘He has every attribute to be a Premier League player, strong, big, quick, and most importantly goalscoring.

‘He can score goals and when you look at it, his goal scoring ratio is better than any striker right now in Europe, the stats are there to back it up.

‘He has been absolutely fantastic. Scoring three goals against Man City, you don’t hear that often. He has been fantastic and looks a little bit like [Erling] Haaland.’
