New Chelsea signing Edouard Mendy is highly-influential and highly-rated by club legend Petr Cech, reports the TalkSport website.

He is hailed as the clubs greatest ever stopper, so there is no-one more trusted by Lampard to make the decision about who to sign in order to help improve the stopper area and hand Kepa a real challenge.
Mendy is a man that is ready to make that step up and play for one of the biggest clubs in the game (US). So this is the right time for him to make that move, as we are in dire need of his ability.
Kepa has lost all his confidence and needs to be taken out of the limelight for a bit until he gets back to his best.
