Italians move to Stamford Bridge ‘the world of football now’ Chelsea fans told!
Former CHELSEA defender Robert Huth has delivered his verdict on Enzo Maresca’s move to Chelsea.,
Maresca comes onto Stamford Bridge with a big reputation of possession based football – having worked with Man City boss Pep Guardiola – and many fans are hoping that he is able to get the very best out of his players and get the club challenging for that Champions League football.
And after seeing the Italian make the move to London – Former Leicester City defender Robert Huth has delivered his verdict on Maresca’s move to Stamford Bridge – saying that it’s the world of football now, he said: “It’s the world of football, isn’t it? Can I be critical and say if I was in his position (Maresca’s), I wouldn’t have done the same?
‘I wouldn’t feel comfortable saying that. CHELSEA is a massive club. They gave him a long contract to have a big project.,” he told Gambling.com.
“From our (Leicester) point of view, we trusted him when he first signed. He was very unproven in men’s football, so we kind of gave him a chance. But that’s just the way it is. In football, if you do well, other clubs look at you and how you do it. They want to nick your players, they want to nick your recruitment staff, they want to nick your manager.”
“We’ve been in positions where we’ve done it to other clubs. So, it is what it is.”
