Higuain deal will ‘get the best’ out of superstar Chelsea ace Hazard
Danny Higginbotham says he arrival of Gonzalo Higuain will help bring the best out of Eden Hazard at Chelsea
Higuain ended months of speculation and signed for us on a deal until the end of the season, with some reports suggesting that we have the option of buying the Argentine for £31 million in the summer.[the_ad id=”164″]
The move to London will also mean that star man Hazard gets put back in his preferred position on the left, after Sarri decided to play the Belgian up top in search of regular goals, which never got the best out of the Real Madrid target.
And Higginbotham believes the deal for Higuaín benefit the club, as it will ease the pressure on Hazard and let the Belgian get back to his very best.
He said on the Sky Sports News website: “He’s got a great opportunity. It could benefit the other players, in particular Hazard. He’s Chelsea’s best player, I don’t think there’s any doubt about that.
“The key is getting him in the team and Hazard being able to shift position. He’s worked under Sarri before and knows how he works.
“There’ll be hoping he comes and scores the goals, but it’s about how he benefits the rest of the team.
“I think what you’ll see with Higuain is that he is more of an out-and-out centre forward. You’ve got plenty of players with pace around him, so he can be the focal point that Chelsea don’t have when Hazard is playing as a false nine.”[the_ad id=”164″]
Will Higuaín and Hazard get on?
Both have big egos to go with the fact they are both world class players, so hopefully they will have an instant connection and click, as we need them to get on if we are to get back into a top four spot by the end of the season.
