Hazard £70m talks, £51m James price, Abraham wants return, Eden to get Sarri the sack, Varane exit in Chelsea daily roundup

Here is a daily roundup of the latest Chelsea news and gossip guys.

Representatives of Real Madrid have flown into London to open talks about a transfer deal for Eden Hazard.

Hazard has been in superb form this season and is the clubs leading Premier League scorer with 13-goals, but the great performances have all been overshadowed by constant rumours that he will leave at the end of the season and sign for Real Madrid.

The Belgian has even suggested that his mind has been made up about a possible deal, but with the club facing a transfer ban it was widely expected that we tried to get Hazard signed to a new contract.

But Madrid are on a mission to get back challenging for major trophies after a poor season under Santiago Scolari and since they have re-appointed Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, they are looking to follow up the arrival of Porto defender Eder Militao with another big named signed.

And according to reports on the Metro website, representatives of the La Liga giants have already flown to London to begin talks regarding a deal for the Belgian and they are resigned to losing the 28-year-old.

But Willian insists Belgium international Hazard is not allowing his mind to wander, telling the TalkSport website that his team-mate has not spoken about leaving for Madrid at the end of the season

He said: “No doubt, he’s focussed here. He’s never said something about Real Madrid or stuff like this. He just wants to continue to play for Chelsea.”
“I hope he stays with us. But in football you never know what can happen.

“Of course, Eden is a fantastic player, one of the best players in the world. He’s my friend, one of the best players I’ve played with in my whole career.
“I just have to say I hope he stays with us. That’s it.”

Real Madrid have stuck a £51 million asking price on Chelsea transfer target James Rodriguez.

Rodriguez is currently coming towards the end of his two-year loan spell with Bayern and there were some suggestions that they had no intention of offering him a permanent move to the Bundesliga, as he had not impressed as many had hoped.

Reports have claimed Maurizio Sarri was looking to step in and offer the Colombian a move to the premier League, as he needs an immediate replacement for the departing Eden Hazard, who is supposedly on his way to Real Madrid in the summer

And reports have suggested Madrid are set to significantly hike up his price in order to raise funds for their own summer spree, with a fee of £51 million the desired asking price, according to El Confidencial.

However, Bayern are keen to keep hold of James and recently stated that he will be at the club next season.

“The option that we have, we have to exercise by June 15th,” Rummenigge told Abendzeitung.

“So we still have plenty of time. But I have to make it quite clear that everyone here is happy with him. I firmly believe that James will also play for FC Bayern next season.

Tammy Abraham has told Chelsea that he wants to return to Stamford Bridge when his loan move at Aston Villa ends at the end of the season.

We have a number of talented young players out on-loan after buying some of the best talents in the game, and Abraham is one of those exciting players that many believe will develop into one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old has scored 21 goals for Sky Bet Championship side Villa, having seen another potential loan switch to Wolves break down in January, but he aims to challenge for the first-team after helping Villa earn promotion back to the Premier League.

“That’s the aim going into next season,” Abraham told Sky Sports News.

“As a young kid, I’ve always believed I will play for Chelsea. I always believe that.

“I think I have the ability to. I just have to, when I get the opportunity, grab it with two hands.”

Raphael Varane is considering a move away from Real Madrid despite Zinedine Zidane’s return as manager.

Varane is regarded as one of the best central defenders in world football and has become a real main stay in the Madrid side over the last few years, lifting the Champions League title four times during his spell at the Bernabeu.

And that has led to a lot of speculation that we could make a move to try and acquire his services in the coming windows, with Maurizio Sarri desperate to improve the back-line with a big named signing or two that could replace the likes of David Luiz or Antonio Rudiger.

And according to reports on the Daily Mail website, the French defender, 25, is said to be eyeing his options away from the Bernabeu despite the fact that Madrid shocked the world and re-hired Zidane over the past few weeks.

Emile Heskey has claimed Eden Hazard could get Maurizio Sarri sacked by Chelsea this summer.

We are in a battle with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham for that final Champions League spot and are already out the chase for any domestic titles, with the Europa League the Blues only real chance of picking up some silverware.

And Heskey says star man Hazard has not played at his best this season, which ultimately has led to Sarri struggling in his first campaign in England and that is why he could get the sack at the end of the season.

“I’d be very surprised if he’s there next season,” Heskey said on Sky Sports.

“It’s been a difficult season for him.

“You’ve got talisman like Hazard, a couple of seasons ago we were touting him as the best in the Premier League, probably the best in Europe.

“You need players like that stepping up to the plate.

“I think he still could go [even if Chelsea win the Europa League].

“I think they’re probably looking at the future now and thinking they’re quite far behind a lot of the teams that they are hoping to be in the mix with in the top four and winning the league.”
