Haaland talks confirmed, Hazard can be signed for £34 million and Rudiger claim made in IcChelseanews roundup…

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has been named in Garth Crooks’s Team of the Week for a second week running, with rumours that he could leave the club.

Rudiger, 28, is out of contract at the end of the season and therefore free to talk to foreign teams from as early as January over a potential move away from Stamford Bridge.

There has been alot of interest in a player that has become a big part of the squad at Stamford Bridge, with the likes of PSG, Juventus and even Barcelona all keeping a very close eye on the developments at the club

However, on the pitch he continues to be brilliant and show just why there is alot of interest in his services, and why the club are keen to try and keep hold ahead of the January transfer window

It was another solid display from the German on the left-hand side of a back three in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United, and he could have snatched the winner in the dying moments of the match.

And amid all the speculation that Chelsea ARE CLOSING IN ON A NEW DEAL FOR RUDIGER, ands In his weekly BBC column, Crooks praised the physicality of Rudiger’s game and how his strong start to the season has been key to the clubs success.

‘He made a fabulous tackle in the first half which set the tone for his entire contribution to the match,’ wrote Crooks. ‘Rudiger loves a battle and the fixtures against Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City are made for the likes of him.

‘There are times, of course, when Rudiger is actually looking for confrontations even when they aren’t there – in which case he will create his own. He’s not averse to scoring the odd goal every now and then either, provided it’s on his head and he’s attacking the opposition’s goal.

‘He was presented with a glorious chance during the closing minutes of the game against Manchester United and blasted the ball high, wide and handsome.

‘Virgil van Dijk had a similar chance against Southampton and buried it. Two world-class defenders and both make my team of the week.’

It is crazy to think that Rudiger could leave the club on a free transfer deal, he is world class and we are hoping that the board hurry up and make sure that he stays at the Bridge

Former Chelsea assistant manager Jody Morris has claimed the Blues were interested in signing Borrusia Dortmund star Erling Haaland during his time at the club.

Haaland is already one of the most talked about and sought after players in world football after developing into one of the most deadly strikers in the game ever since his move to Dortmund

Morris was assistant to Frank Lampard and admits interest from the club for the Norwegian striker has been there for a number of years, and with The 21-year-old constantly being linked with a move away from Dortmund, Morris believes we may reignite their interest in him.

In a report by the Metro, the story highlights Morris’s belief that the club will face Premier League competition for his signature.

‘It is not always the one that looks like the perfect fit that gets it over the line. They [Manchester United] will face competition from Manchester City, I think Chelsea will be involved,’ said Morris of Haaland.

‘I know Chelsea was interested in him previously. I know he was speaking to Frank, when he was manager of Chelsea.

‘I think he is a boy that knows he is in demand, and he won’t rush any decision and he hasn’t so far.

‘The position he is in is a strong one but like I said, there will be seven or eight of the biggest clubs in the world after him. It will take something special to get it over the line.’

Pushed on whether he believes he’ll come to the Premier League, Morris added: ‘I know he had options before he joined Dortmund and he made a decision that was the best he thought was for his career and at the moment it looks like a really good one.

‘He is in a fantastic position and there will be no shortages of decent contracts and top clubs after him.’

Could you imagine that Haaland and Lukaku partnership?

He is already a world class player and one star that any club would love to have

Chelsea will be able to complete a transfer deal for Eden Hazard in January for a fee of just £34 million, according to reports.

Hazard is a club legend at Stamford Bridge after developing into one of the very best players in world football, so much so, that Madrid paid some big money to take him to Spain.

But Having joined Madrid in a big-money move from Chelsea in 2019, it has been a frustrating two full seasons in the Spanish capital so far for the 30-year-old, and he has barely featured for the Spanish giants

That has led to many reports in the media which have suggested that we  could make a move for the Belgian in the January window, but were not sure that Madrid would actually sell

However, they have been boosted by the news that Madrid are now open to selling the attacker, as they are fed up with his inability to reach the levels he did while at the club

Now it seems that we will be able to sign Hazard for alot less than they sold him for, with reports in Spain claiming that the Spaniards will only demand a fee of around £34 million for the Belgian

However, Hazard does not want to leave and The 30-year-old remains committed to Real Madrid and is willing to show patience in order to force his way back into the starting XI, meaning that we would need to offer something special to bring him back to the club

IcChelseanews view…

Hazard was a superstar a few seasons ago but he is no longer at that Standard and making a move to bring him back to Stamford Bridge would be a massive mistake from the Board

So even though he is a legend at the club, we dont need him
