German football expert Raphael Honigstein thinks Leverkusen will not let Chelsea target Kai Havertz leave on the cheap this summer window.

Frank Lampard may have one of the most exciting and creative sides in the Premier League right now, but he will need to spend some money in the next couple of windows to improve the side in certain areas, and according to recent reports, we are now interested in trying to acquire the services of Havertz.

And earlier reports have revealed that owner Roman Abramovic will give the green light for the club to complete a deal for Havertz, but is not ready to pay that massive £90 million asking price that Leverkusen are reportedly seeking.

Now Honigstein thinks Leverkusen will not let Havertz leave on the cheap this summer window

“Well Chelsea are among a number of clubs who are interested in Kai Havertz, why wouldn’t they be?” Honigstein said on BILD

“They are talking to him of course but that is no different from literally everybody who is talking to him. It comes down to the sticking point which is Leverkusen’s valuation.

“They want nothing less than €100million plus, maybe €120m for a player who is worth the money.

“But the current market doesn’t find clubs necessarily ready to put that much money on the table.”

Look, Havertz is brilliant, he would be loved by the fans here, but at the end of the day guys, where would he fit in? Who would he replace? The lads are playing brilliantly and adding this guy into the mould could scupper the development of the club.

But saying that, how good would it be to have Havertz in the side?
