PSG star buys house in London ahead of possible move, Lamps make Champions League claim, Frank speak out on transfer amid Havertz talks
Lamps speaks on transfer dealings, Areola buys house in London, Champions League will help us sign world class players in news roundup…
Frank Lampard insists any further attacking signings the club make this summer could hinge on the outcome of Chelsea’s final few games, with reports the club are in talks for Kai Havertz.
The season has not yet finished and there is a few more games, but that has not stopped all the speculation in the media suggesting that a new defender and midfielder could arrive at the club in the summer.
Recent reports in the media have claimed that we have already started talks with the little German about a £70 million move to Stamford Bridge.
However, Lampard was in no mood to discuss his interest in Havertz ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Liverpool but did not rule out the prospect of making further additions to his squad.
Asked specifically about Havertz, he said on Sky Sports: ‘I’m not talking about Kai Havertz he’s a player of another team I am looking at a game tomorrow that is so huge for this team. The last thing I want to do is talk about a player from another team.’
On the prospect of further bolstering an already fearsome looking forward line, he added: ‘We will cross that in the summer. The idea of the two players we’ve brought in, of course they are attacking talents and you bring in players like that to improve.
‘We know there might be players moving on naturally, players ending contracts and we know it’s something that I feel we’ve spoken about in certain games where we’ve had a lot of possession of the ball and chances created to a high level and we maybe haven’t quite done that.
‘I think those two players (Ziyech and Werner) are hopefully going to add to us in that case and then after that what comes in the summer come after the next few huge games for us.’
Frank Lampard has opened up and claimed that Champions League will help Chelsea attract the worlds best players.
The speculation regarding us and possible new signings in the summer is almost on a daily basis, and there are alot of big players linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard is no fool, he knows just what he needs to get this side back challenging for Premier League and Champions League titles, but he knows that he needs Champions League football to accompany that work off the field.
“It’s massively important for the club,” Lampard told reporters on a Zoom video conference call. “Not just for the prestige. But if you are a club on the world stage like Chelsea have been you want to compete at the highest level and attract players of the highest level.
[the_ad id=”164”]“It obviously generates money for the club, let’s make no bones about it. So you understand why there is such intense scrutiny on who finishes in the top four. It would have been unheard of a good few years ago. Now it becomes not a trophy but an accomplishment in itself.
“We want to move further than that so we look on upwards in the Premier League but getting into the Champions League has to be, even with the way this year the season has gone, it has to be an aim for us.”
Chelsea fans are getting very excited as reports have claimed target Alphonse Areola has brought a new house in London.
Frank Lampard is no fool, he knows just what he needs to get this side back challenging for Premier League and Champions League titles, and knows that he needs to add a top-class stopper to the squad.
He has been linked with a move for Jan Oblak, but with reports suggesting that Madrid do not want to sell, they have had to switch their attentions elsewhere.
And that has led to some reports in the media suggesting that the PSG stopper is another man that could come in and take-over from the under-fire Kepa next season, especially with the latest reports surfacing.
Areola has got tongues wagging over the past few days after it was revealed that he has now purchased a house in London, and his wide is very happy that they have managed to achieve that.
His wife Marrion wrote: “A few years ago our dream was to have our home in London.
“Our dream came true. Happiness blessed.”

Areola is a very good stopper and this move will get many people talking, but we would actually be shocked if he was the man that we signed to solve our goalkeeping issues, he is a very good stopper but he aint no Oblak.
