Chelsea paid crazy money for Havertz, Rice green light given and Two players offered for Kante in icchelseanews roundup..

Chelsea have reportedly been offered Christian Eriksen and Marcelo Brozovic for N’Golo Kante, but have rejected the offer.

Kante is easily regarded as one of the finest midfielders in the game right now and is arguably the best holding midfielder, but there has been some speculation in the media that he could be sold by the club in order to help finance the books.

And recent reports have claimed Inter boss Antonio Conte is believed to be desperate to be reunited with the French international at the San Siro and has made him his No1 midfield target.

According to the Daily Mail, the Serie A side are willing to offload two of their own players in order to bring the ex-Leicester ace to Italy as they simply cannot afford to pay that £60 million asking price that we have placed on the head of Conte.

Look, we have said all along that kante is a player that we need to keep hold of as he will allot the more attacking players to strut their stuff next season, so even though Eriksen and Brozovic would add to the squad, they are not needed.

Kante is the best holding midfielder in the game and letting him go would be a massive mistake from the club, so hopefully a big cash offer does not arrive in the coming months as fans would hate to see him leave.

Roman Abramovic has reportedly given the green light for Chelsea to wrap up a deal for Declan Rice

Rice has become one of the best holding midfielders in the top-flight, and his performances have meant that he is now a full England International, and is valued at around the £80 million mark.

However, despite all the rumours that he would be the next layer to arrive at Stamford Bridge during this transfer window, a move has not been able to be completed as the asking price is simply too high.

But Football Insider claim that the Blues owner Roman Abramovich has given the green light for a deal that is set to include England compatriot Ross Barkley in part-exchange.

Barkley previously played under Hammers chief David Moyes at Everton and the Scot is said to be keen on a reunion with the £30million midfielder, but will still be very reluctant to let his best player leave the club.

Moyes has admitted that he does not want to lose Rice and that only a sensational offer may get a deal done: “It was always the plan, there was no intention to lose Declan Rice,” Moyes said. “We have had no bids and no enquiries. There is a lot of speculation but I can only tell you what I know.

“I wouldn’t want to lose him anyway because he is too big a player for us, he is too important and a big part of the squad.

“He’s been captain already, I think he is learning a lot of leadership from Mark Noble, so I hope in the future we will have an incredibly talented footballer with great leadership skills and will be the captain of West Ham.

Asked if it would take ‘Bank of England’ money to sign Rice, Moyes added: “Well I hope that is the case. We have still got a long way to go in the window, maybe somebody has the Bank of England but nobody has shown that.”

The amount of money Chelsea spent on new signing Kai Havertz was ‘ridiculous’ and ‘crazy’, Dimitar Berbatov has claimed.

The club ended months of transfer speculation last week when they officially brought the German midfielder to the club after months of negotiations with Leverkusen about a transfer deal.

He arrives at the club on a deal that is worth £71 million, while his wage packet at the club will make him one of the highest earners in the Premier League, not just at Stamford Bridge.

It is understood the 21-year-old is in line to make his full debut for the as we take on Brighton in their Premier League opener next Monday, but despite admitting he is a fantastic addition at Stamford Bridge, Man United legend Berbatov believes the club paid too much for the German.

“I think the amount of money spent on Kai Havertz was a little too much for my taste,” he told Betfair.

“It’s ridiculous, it’s too much money. Havertz is a great talent, and I have said.”

It is alot of money to pay for a player that still has alot to prove in the game, but at the end of the day, that is what clubs have to pay in todays game for talents like this man.

£71 million will not be alot of money in the coming seasons if the lad produces just like the club hope, he should repay that in shirt sales, trophies and goals, to the fee will pay for itself.

He will be worth every penny in the coming seasons, WATCH!
