Kai Havertz looking to get Chelsea move completed next week
Kai Havertz is understood to be eager to get his move to Chelsea sealed by next week following the Blues’ Champions League qualification.
The Premier League season is over and we have managed to secure themselves a Champions League spot for next season, meaning that Frank Lampard will be able to get the players that he seemingly desires.
And top of that shopping list of Havertz, who is easily one of the very best players in the Bundesliga and the man that could come in and help take this attack to another level next season.
Recent reports have claimed The German playmaker, 21, has to have agreed to a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge with the deal now “close”.
Now Sky Sports claim the club finishing in the top four to seal their place in next season’s Champions League is thought to have convinced Havertz to move to the club early next week, as Leverkusen will be playing in the Europa League.
Bild report that the Bundesliga value Havertz at £91million but we are hopeful of agreeing a lower price, and its expected that the final fee will be around £70m, plus potential add-ons.
Look, all this speculation is rather annoying and we just want the deal to be completed so Frank Lampard can focus on working on other areas of the pitch that will need money being spent on it this summer.
Havertz is a great player, but adding a new defender and stopper to the squad will help us win that Premier League title.
