‘Just like Ballack’ Chelsea told brilliant £100 million Havertz would be great buy

Dietmar Hamann has compared Chelsea transfer target Kai Havertz to Germany legend Michael Ballack.
Frank Lampard may have one of the most exciting and creative sides in the Premier League right now, but he will need to spend some money in the next couple of windows to improve the side in certain areas, especially with the likes of Willian and Pedro seemingly on their way out of the club.
And according to reports on the ATHLETIC, we are now interested in trying to acquire the services of Havertz, who is easily regarded as one of the finest talents in the game and tipped to be one of the very best players around.
Havertz has become one of the most sought after players in the game, as he has scored 20 goals and provided four assists in all competition this season, meaning that this will be his most productive campaign to date.
Now, amid the transfer speculation, Hamann thinks the ‘exceptional’ 20-year-old would be a great signing for any club, and has compared him to the brilliant Ballack.
“The one player who stands out for me is Kai Havertz from Leverkusen’ Hamann told Sky Sports. “He’s an exceptional player, he reminds me of a young Michael Ballack.
“He’s got that air of arrogance in a good way about him. He’s two-footed, he’s tall, he’s good in the air, he’s very versatile. He can play across the front, he can play any position. I think he’s the best player we’ve got in Germany at the moment.
“There’s talk about Timo Werner going to England, obviously he’s a different player, but Havertz is the one I’d be looking at.”
Look, Havertz is a brilliantly gifted young man that is making all the right noised in Europe right now and if he goes onto become anything like Ballack, then he will be a true great for Germany.
