CEO opens up and announces they are ready to let midfielder go as Chelsea keen on Havertz deal
Bayer Leverkusen are ready to let Chelsea target Kai Havertz leave in the summer after he admitted he wants a new challenge.
Lampard may have one of the most exciting and creative sides in the Premier League right now, but he will need to spend some money in the next couple of windows to improve the side in certain areas, especially with the likes of Willian and Pedro seemingly on their way out of the club.
And according to recent reports, we are now interested in trying to acquire the services of Havertz, who is easily regarded as one of the finest talents in the game and tipped to be one of the very best players around.
ow Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carrosaid in quotes carried by The Sun: “With Kai Havertz, I see that many clubs are interested in him. Kai has been with us for ten years. I see the player’s desire to take the next step some time in the near future.
“You have to try to find a solution where the player’s goal can be reconciled with ours. No one can say for sure what is going to happen at the moment.”
Bayer Leverkusen are still demanding between £89m – £107million for the seven-capped Germany international – who would dwarf the current club-record transfer of £71.5m paid for Kepa Arrizabalaga in 2018.
But at the end of the day, the lad has the potential to go on and become one of the very best players in the game, so we would love to see him arrive.
