Good morning Chelsea! Willian contract message, Odoi ‘could be one of Europes best’, Piatek transfer update
Here is a morning roundup of the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation from IcChelseanews.com
Chelsea star Willian has played down speculation that he could leave the club by admitting ‘he is fine’ at Stamford Bridge.
Willian was heavily linked with a summer move to Barcelona after a frustrating year under Antonio Conte last season, in which he lost his place in the starting line-up and found himself on the bench more often than not.
[the_ad id=”164″]Willian’s contract expires in June 2020 and despite all the speculation surrounding his future at the club, the midfielder has announced that he is relaxed about his future and is not worried about signing a new deal.
He said on the Sky Sports website: “I’m fine. No rush about that. We can talk about that in the future, no problem.”

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has told Callum Hudson-Odoi he has the potential to be one of Europe’s best players.
The talented 18-year old has been in the headlines over the last few weeks with constant speculation that Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are just one of a number of German clubs that are interested in trying to sign the lad.
But Sarri has hinted he has no intention of letting the winger leave by admitting Odoi has the talent to be one of the best wingers in world football.
Sarri said on the Sky Sports website: “He is a very good player, the potential is for becoming a great player, and now he has to improve.
“He has to improve I think in movement without the ball. As a winger, he has to improve in the defensive phase, but he has the potential to become a very important player, not only for English football I think but for European football.”

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has dismissed claims that Krzysztof Piatek could be joining Chelsea in January.
We have been linked with a whole load of players over the last few months and after completing a deal for Christian Pulisic, it was widely expected that Maurizio Sarri delves into the transfer kitty again to try and acquire the services of one of the hottest strikers on the planet right now.
23-year old Piatek is one of the most deadly strikers in Europe right now and his tally of 13 goals is only beaten by Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, as he continues to take the Italian League by storm and attract interest from some of the games biggest clubs.
But amidst the speculation that we are ready to splash the cash to bring him here in the next few weeks, Genoa have now revealed that they have no intention of selling any of their biggest players this January.
“No one will move until June,” Preziosi told Il Secolo XIX.
“We need [Christian] Kouame, Piatek and [Gaston] Ramirez. So far there’s been a lot of talk, but no offers have arrived.”
