Exciting Brazilian Gerson has transfer message with Chelsea interested in transfer deal

Gerson has no interest in leaving Flamengo despite reported interest from Premier League giants Chelsea.

We have been a side over the past few weeks that have been looking to get our transfer business done very early, so new players can get settled into their new life in the Premier League.

And despite some big-time names being linked with the club, there has been some speculation in the media suggesting that Gerson could be a man that could make the move to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £30 million.

After an unsuccessful stint at Roma, Fluminense youth product Gerson returned to Brazil after an €11.8million (£11m/$13m) deal was agreed with Flamengo in July 2019, and since then, The 23-year-old has won the Campeonato Brasileiro, Copa Libertadores, Supercopa do Brasil and the Recopa Sudamericana, while the Campeonato Carioca could be secured next week.

We have been keeping a very close eye on the development of the winger, especially with all the transfer talk that Willian is leaving the club, but it seems that we actually may not get the chance to sign the man, after he insisted he is happy at Flamengo.

“After a year with Flamengo, I can promise that I never spoke with another club. My focus is totally on Flamengo,” he told Globo Esporte

“I feel at home, I am happy, I am wanted and I am at a club that is on the level of European sides.

“We can’t shut doors, football shows this, but today I am very happy and fulfilled to be in the club of my heart.

“I rediscovered myself here and I want to win yet more trophies in this shirt.”
