Genoa President reacts to 13-goal hitman Piatek’s possible Chelsea move this January
Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has dismissed claims that Krzysztof Piatek could be joining Chelsea in January.
We have been linked with a whole load of players over the last few months and after completing a deal for Christian Pulisic, it was widely expected that Maurizio Sarri delves into the transfer kitty again to try and acquire the services of one of the hottest strikers on the planet right now.
23-year old Piatek is one of the most deadly strikers in Europe right now and his tally of 13 goals is only beaten by Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, as he continues to take the Italian League by storm and attract interest from some of the games biggest clubs.
But amidst the speculation that we are ready to splash the cash to bring him here in the next few weeks, Genoa have now revealed that they have no intention of selling any of their biggest players this January.
[the_ad id=”164″]“No one will move until June,” Preziosi told Il Secolo XIX.
“We need [Christian] Kouame, Piatek and [Gaston] Ramirez. So far there’s been a lot of talk, but no offers have arrived.”
We should still make a move for the striker!
Piatek is a top-class striker that has a lot of ability and potential, so he needs to be at a big club like Chelsea banging in the goals in the Premier League, so if we do seriously want him them we are sure that Sarri will make the deal happen.
Football is all about the money and the right offer will get a deal wrapped up, even if Genoa do not want to do any business.
But Piatek would be worth the £60 million that we are reportedly ready to pay, the lad is impressive and will score goals for fun.
