Conor Gallagher wants to sign a new deal at CHELSEA as uncertainty over his future continues, it has been claimed

Gallegher had been in the transfer headlines alot this summer as it was believed that we would have allowed him to depart the club if the right offer was made.

That has led to constant speculation in the media that West Ham are very keen to try and get a deal done for the midfielder – and even made an offer of £40 million, which was rejected by the club as they were seeking closer to £50 million for Gallagher.

He has featured in the opening months of the season for Mauricio Pochettino and is beginning to look like the player that many tipped to become a world class act just a few seasons ago.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The Football Insider has claimed that Gallagher is determined to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge and continue fighting for his place in the side.

West Ham and Tottenham are both reportedly keeping a close eye on the man, as they held an interest in signing the England international but a move failed to materialise before the 1 September deadline.

There is no doubt that Gallagher is a talented midfielder that could shine under Pochettino – so if the boss wants him at th club and doesnt want to use the money to sign new players, then he should get that new contract, especially as there is a place for him in the side.

There has been so much speculation about his future for seasons now, so this new deal will kind of end the immediate speculation surrounding his future and keep him settled.
