Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Ajax star Anthony ahead of the summer transfer window

Now it is no secret in the media that Thomas Tuchel will be looking to improve his squad in the summer and add a few players that can bring quality, excitement and goals to his side

The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic have not banged in the goals that Tuchel would like, and to be honest, their performances at times have not even impressed the loyal fans, which has led to rumours that Anthony is now on the agenda

The Brazilian has 39 goal involvements in 71 Ajax appearances and a report by 90min suggests a move to the Premier League is on the horizon.

The beguiling Brazilian has emerged as key player for his club over the past 18 months and has featured regularly at international level since his first call-up in October last year.

90min has been told that we are keen on the player, while Manchester United’s interest is set to intensify due to the question marks over Mason Greenwood’s future following his recent arrest.

Clubs throughout Italy and Spain are also keen, but it is believed that player’s representatives have indicated Antony’s desire is to play in the Premier League.

The Premier League is the best league in world football and it is also a massive step up for the man to make should he come here. He has to make the right choice on his future or he could find himself sitting on the bench

We are a great club that play Champions League football and challenge for every trophy that is on offer, so we would be a very good club to sign up with.

Thomas Tuchel has admitted that Chelsea will hold talks with Conor Gallagher about his future at the club

Ever since making the decision to head out on loan at the beginning of the season with Crystal Palace, Gallager has developed into one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League, and has even been called up to the England National side.

There has been many out there that have been calling for Tuchel to hand Gallagher the chance to shine, much like other talents Callum Hudson-Odoi, Trevor Chalobah and Mason Mount have been over the last few seasons

Now, Tuchel has updated on what the future holds for Conor Gallagher, and has admitted that talks will be held: ‘It’s always a step, it’s another environment and it just proves that every player needs individual solutions,’ Tuchel said on whether Gallagher could make the step-up to the Chelsea side next season. ‘We wanted to have him here, like I have said many times.

‘In pre-season I saw that he could have the chance to have an impact in our squad because he did a fantastic pre-season.

‘He is a fantastic guy and cares so much about Chelsea because he is from the Academy. It is very nice to have him around and he was impressive in pre-season, but an opportunity came, and they offered him a role which he took obviously.

He added: ‘Now you see what it does to play as if they are needed, and they are an important role and then he took the opportunity with quality and energy, and he has taken several steps in his development which is quite impressive and we’re happy that he is our player and we are happy that it is like this,’ the Bavarian said.

Would it be the same if he would have stayed? Nobody knows. It was a good decision because he has clearly developed. We will take this decision late because there is no need to take it today.

‘The season is by far not over and he needs to finish his season with Crystal Palace in the best possible way,’ Tuchel added.

‘Then we will see what we want, what he wants and then we will have a talk and we will decide. I am happy he is our player.’

Thomas Tuchel has opened up and admitted that Chelsea are still working on trying to hand Cesare Azpilicueta a new contract, with reports that he already has an agreement with Barcelona

Azpilicueta is a player that has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks as indications suggest that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the current season.

The Spaniard is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to extend his deal into next season, and That leaves Azpilicueta free to leave in the summer transfer window. He has been linked with a return to Spain.

It has been claimed already that Azpilicueta has an agreement with Barcelona to make a move to the camp Nou on a two-year deal, and with Fellow defenders Rudiger and Christensen also looking set to leave, the club will be in the market for a new defender

But despite not giving much away about his captian, Tuchel has opened up and admitted that we are working on the contract issues surrounding the little Spanish star: ‘Well the future of the players I like to be resolved normally immediately or not even in discussion, in the ideal world,’ Tuchel said in his pre-match press conference.

‘We do not live in the ideal world, though, so I think the contract situation with Azpi is pretty clear. It is not the biggest pressure on this subject but as you know, we have some other players also with contractual situations that are not fully solved.

‘This is not ideal. This is also nobody’s particular fault,’ Tuchel said. ‘This can happen sometimes in the moment we deal with it, and Azpi deals with it very professionally and I do not have the feeling that it affects any of his performances.

‘We are on it behind closed doors. This is where it needs to be dealt with.’

This has been going on for some time now, so maybe Azpilicueta has already made the decision to leave the club and that is why a contract has not been signed already?
