Frank lampard opens up on the possible Chelsea exit of Callum Hudson-Odoi

Frank Lampard has shut down the transfer rumours linking Callum Hudson-Odoi with a move away from the club this summer.

We have done some wonderful transfer business this summer window, but their arrivals has meant that a number of talented players may have to seek a move away in order to get the game time that they need.

And The highly-rated England international, 19, has fallen down the pecking order for the 2020/21 campaign with all the transfer signings that have been been signed by Lampard and that has led to speculation in the media that he is now seeking a move away from the club.

That has led to speculation that the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester United have both made an approach to the club about a possible deal for the young man, but after a couple of impressive performances, Lampard insisted he has no interest in selling the England international to Manchester United or any interested parties.

“We are not inundated with wingers,” he was quoted on the Daily Express.

“We lost Pedro and Willian in the summer and we need competition and players because of the stress of the competitions we have to play in.

“I certainly hope Callum has a big part to play this season. If Callum comes on and makes an impact like he did against West Brom, if he keeps improving and developing every day, he is a huge talent – so let’s see.”

Look, Hudson-Odoi should get enough game time this season to develop nicely, so even though a move away may give him more game time, the best thing for him right now is to stay.
