Boss sends clear transfer message to Chelsea over deal for big striker

Brentford boss Thomas Frank is hopeful his side can keep hold of star striker Ivan Toney in the summer window, with CHELSEA keen on a potential deal.
The club spent some serious money in the Summer transfer window and acquired players that have really made an impact on the side – and they will be looking to improve over the summer window
We do really have a striker that has the ability to score 20, 30 or even 40 goals a season and there is alot of speculation that the we are keen to add another striker to the side in the summer window.
And that has led to some reports in the media that the club will be interested in a £50 million move to try and sign Ivan Toney from Brentford – who registered 20 goals in the Premier League last season.
Frank doesn’t expect big changes at Brentford this summer, believing the squad he’s got can achieve better things next term if they stay fit. But keeping key man Toney would boost that feeling.
“Just to have a fit squad,” he said when asked about what he wants this summer. “I don’t think we need players in.
” Yes we’ve done the job with Igor Thiago. We’re not in a massive hurry or rush to get others in.
“Toney? I’d like to keep him. There are a lot of rumours. I understand them because he’s a top player. But for now he’s a Brentford player. Let’s see what’s going to happen.”
