Lamps forget signing £80 million Rice and bring £54 million powerhouse to club to solve big issues
Chelsea have been constantly linked with a move for Declan Rice, but Dayot Upamecano is the man that they need to sign this transfer window.
Upamecano has firmly established himself as one of the very best centre-backs over in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons and his performances have led to rumours that he is coming to the Premier League
The defender has been linked with big-money moves to club for months now, But Frank Lampard has not been making any moves for Upamecano as he brought in the experienced Thiago Silva to help solve the issues at the back.

But we do not need to add another midfielder to the side and will need to buy a replacement for Antonio Rudiger, who is seemingly set to leave the club, and Upamecano could be that man.

As we said, Upamecano is one of the very best defenders in the game and the chance to sign him up for a small fee is an opportunity sides cannot miss out on.
We have already showed this season that that back-line will cost the club goals, so if there is a chance to sign Upamecano before the deadline on Monday, they need to take it.
So rather than going or Rice, Lampard should make sure that Upamecano is the latest player to make the move to the club
