Mbuyamba deal close, Reguilon wants move, Chilwell message sent, Fati transfer message sent in icchelseanews daily roundup….

Former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair has urged the Blues not to spend too much on Leicester full-back Ben Chilwell.

We all know that Frank Lampard is eager to spend some serious money in the transfer window and bring in another left-back to the side, as that is an area of the pitch that they are having serious issues in.

That has led to alot of speculation in the media which has suggested that Ben Chilwell is the clubs number one transfer target, with the Leicester City man now regarded as one of the very best in Europe.

But negotiations have proved more difficult than expected with the Foxes demanding a world record fee for a defender, exceeding the £80m Man Utd paid to sign Harry Maguire.

And although Ex defender Sinclair rates Chilwell highly, but the 48-year-old has called on his former club to avoid paying over the odds for the Foxes star.

Speaking to GentingBet about the clubs expected transfer business, Sinclair said: “Ben Chilwell is still a tough nut to crack.

“When you when you hear the way that Brendan Rodgers talks about Ben Chilwell, so strongly and how much [he is] a part of Leicester City going forward, I guess it would be a difficult one and he’s always going to be a very, very overpriced signing.

“For me, there’s a lot of world class, fullbacks out there and Frank has to get the right one for Chelsea Football Club.

“Obviously Ben Chilwell is a top player and England International, but I don’t think Chelsea should pay over the odds for him.”

The Sergio Reguilon is edging closer to a stunning Chelsea move as the Blues are in advanced talks to get a transfer deal done.

We all know that Frank Lampard is eager to spend some serious money in the transfer window and bring in another left-back to the side, as that is an area of the pitch that they are having serious issues in.

That has led to alot of speculation in the media which has suggested that Ben Chilwell is the clubs number one transfer target, but negotiations have proved more difficult than expected with the Foxes demanding a world record fee for a defender.

And that has meant that the club have started looking at possible alternatives, with Reguilon now on the shopping list of the boss.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Sevilla this season, and was expected to make that move back to Madrid and fight for the regular starting spot at the club,

But it appears the we have stolen a march and have opened talks about a transfer deal.

Chelsea are reportedly close to signing 18-year-old ex-Barcelona centre-back Xavier Mbuyamba – dubbed the ‘next Virgil van Dijk’ – on a free transfer.

We have been linked with some big names over the past few weeks, and  fans are hoping for some big time players to arrive, but we will also be keeping an eye out for some of the best talents in the game.

Mbuyamba moved to the Nou Camp last summer from MVV Maastricht in his homeland but has not got the kind of game time that he had been hoping for, with his representative confirming he is already looking to continue his development.

Mbuyamba is frustrated at playing just three Uefa Youth League games for Barca this season And the Daily Mail say we want the Dutchman to develop his career with them.

The report suggests that we are willing to offer Mbuyamba a nice four-year contract to make the move to London, with Frank Lampard seeking to add some defensive quality to the back-line.

According to the agent of the 18-year-old centre-half Mbuyamba, who has been compared to a young Virgil van Dijk, we are leading the chase to complete a potential deal in the coming windows.

“Almost all major clubs in Europe have asked about Xavier,” Barros recently told Voetbal International

“Real Madrid are also there, they are serious about their youth system, but that would of course be a sensitive switch.

“Juventus and Inter are interested, as are top clubs from Germany and England. Chelsea have the best papers. Of course we discussed this extensively last year.

“Chelsea gave a fantastic presentation. There is a unique football atmosphere there. You immediately sit with the first-team players during lunch and the club has outlined a very ambitious plan for Xavier.

“They really think that in one to two years, he can be in the first team. Frank Lampard has of course already proven that he is not afraid to play with young players. Being in the starting line-up at Chelsea at the age of 20 would, of course, be great.”

Barcelona’s president has explained they won’t be accepting bids for wonderkid Ansu Fati following interest from the likes of Chelsea

We have been in the transfer headlines alot over the past few months, as boss Frank Lampard knows that he needs to spend some money in the transfer window and land a few players that are able to make a real difference to the side, now, and in the future.

That has led to reports in the media suggesting that we have take a real shine to the exciting Fati, who is easily one of the most talented players to come out of Barcelona for some time.

The 17-year-old winger, who is now Barca’s youngest ever goalscorer, has five goals in 20 Champions League and LaLiga appearances, and is also attracting interest from Premier Leagur giants Manchester United and Manchester City.

However, Barcelona are in no mood to sell their exciting star, who could be the long-term solution to replacing Lionel Messi, and they have come out and responded to rumours they could decide to let the man leave.

Josep Maria Bartomeu told SPORT: “We haven’t had any formal offers but there has been interest from some clubs.

“Barça can’t sell Ansu, even if it might feel like an option to balance the books during a pandemic.

“We never considered letting him go. The opposite, in fact, what we want is to aid his development and extend his time here so that he plays at Barça for the rest of his life.”

Another shame.
