Exciting £52M star who will be joining Chelsea in 2025 sets new record
CHELSEA youngster Estevao Willian has become the first U18 player to record 20 goal contributions in a single Serie A season in Brazil.
Estevao made just 22 senior appearances for Palmeiras before Chelsea made the decision to swoop in and bring him to the Premier League, although he will not be arriving until next season.
Overnight, Estevao was in action with Palmeiras against Gremio and the teenager ended up scoring the goal that not only sealed all three points for his side but also set a new Serie A record.
It was his 12th goal of the season – in his 27th appearance – and combined with his eight assists, it meant that Estevao became the first player under the age of 18 to record 20 goal contributions in a single Serie A campaign.
Sandro recently admitted that he is very jealous he will be playing in the blue of Chelsea rather than the white of Spurs – Speaking toOnlineCassino.com.br he said: “All I can say about Estevao Willian is that Spurs should’ve bought him first.
“He is a great player and has shown in the last few years that he can take players on, shoot and is so skillful. He is an exciting player to watch.
“I’m not happy that he’s signed for CHELSEA but he is the sort of player that can change the future for Brazil, he is one of those players. He is a top player and I think he’s ready to play in the Premier League, as long as Chelsea give him time to find his best level and take that next step.
“There is a massive difference between football in Brazil and the Premier League, but If he trains hard then he can be one of CHELSEA and Brazil’s top players.
Neymar was asked in a recent interview with TNT which player among Brazil’s current generation of young stars made him the most excited, and he picked out Willian – who has been labelled Messinho by his followers.
Explaining his choice, Neymar added: ”He is a great talent that is emerging in Brazilian football today. I think he’s going to be a genius.’
