Eriksen price set, Higuain agrees move, Icardi agent admits £90m move one in Chelsea transfer news and gossip

Jamie January 10, 2019

There has been a lot of Chelsea transfer speculation in the media over the past few weeks, but here are the latest from IcChelseanews.com

On-loan AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain has agreed to join Chelsea, reports from Italy have claimed.

It is no secret that boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to add another striker to the squad this season and has been linked with a move for the Argentine striker, who scored 36 goals in Serie A during the 2015/16 season at Napoli under the Italian.

Alvaro Morata has flopped since his move to London last season, and he is heavily tipped to leave the club in the coming windows, while Olivier Giroud is not seen as a permanent front-man, with the Frenchman more of an impact player off the bench rather than a striker that can score 20-30 goals per season.

And according to Spanish website Marca, Sarri is about to get his dream signing in the shape of Higuain, as he has reportedly agreed a short-term move to Stamford Bridge.

Higuaín has not enjoyed the best of seasons at Milan since his shock move in the summer and is seeking a way out of the club, after failing to fins the back of the net for the Italian side since October.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has slapped a world-record £225m price tag on Chelsea target Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen has had another outstanding season at Spurs and has become one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League right now, but there has been some speculation that he could leave the club in the coming windows after failing to agree a contract with Spurs.

It is believed that Spurs and Eriksen cannot agree on the wages, as the Denmark International would like to sign a deal that takes him to the upper end of the Spurs wage budget, While Spurs do not want to break the back to offer him a new deal.

That has led to speculation that United, Real Madrid and Chelsea are all interested in trying to prise Eriksen away, as all have been long-time admirers of the Spurs man.

But according to reports on Spanish website AS, Levy has stuck a record £225 million price tag on the head of Eriksen in hope of warding off any interest in one of the clubs best players, despite the fact that he only has 18 months remaining on his current Spurs contract.

Chelsea target Mauro Icardi’s agent Wanda Nara has suggested the forward could be on his way to England.

Boss Maurizio Sarri has seen his two main strikers struggle in front of goal this season, as both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud have less than the 13-goals Icardi has managed in Serie A this season.

That has led to rumours that we could make a move for the Argentine striker this January, but were reportedly put off by the news that Inter have offered Icardi a big contract that he is keen to sign.

However, that does not seen to be the case, as his waife and agent Wanda has suggested that he could be on his way to the Premier League, telling Spanish publication AS: “Icardi’s renewal with Inter is a long way off as things stand today.

“There are very important clubs that are interested in signing Mauro and we are very far from reaching an agreement [with Inter].

“‘We have a very good relationship with the two biggest clubs in Spain who are very interested in Mauro, as well as one in France and one in England.”
