Enzo Maresca gives green light for Chelsea to land top transfer target
Enzo Maresca is reportedly supporting Chelsea’s push to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen has once again been all over the headlines for the club as there is alot more talk that the big striker is wanted by the Blues board and they are ready to pay big money in order to get a transfer deal.
And according to Sky Sports Italy, the club have switched their focus to signing Osimhen and the Nigeria international is open to a move to Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal.
The report adds that Maresca has personally approved the move for Osimhen with the clubs hierarchy.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness has claimed that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is perfect for us- he told the Football Insider podcast: “Osimhen’s release clause is £110million. He’s a very exciting player, I’ve watched a lot of him in Italy.
“I’ve been hearing that Lukaku to Napoli could be the makeweight to get Osimhen to Chelsea. I’d been hoping he would come to the Premier League, I’m very excited to see how he does.
“He’s one of the players who will keep eyeballs on the Premier League because people want to see him. Chelsea would do very well to get him.
“Lukaku, being a CHELSEA player for a long time, I think he’s the perfect solution.
“If you’re valuing Lukaku at £40m then that would leave a gap of £70m to the break clause, but he’s worth the money.”
