Guys here is a roundup of the latest news, gossip and transfer speculation from icchelseanews.com that we think you could have missed..

Chelsea full-back Emerson has opened up and admitted that he is very happy at Stamford Bridge.

We signed the former Santos star for £17.6million in January 2018, as he was signed as a back-up option for Marcos Alonso, who proved many people wrong by becoming one of the best left-backs in the country.

However, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few weeks which have suggested that he could be one of the players that Frank Lampard will seek to offload in the summer in order to raise funds to acquire his personal signings.

The defender returned to training alongside the rest of teammates last week, but just like the league’s future is still shrouded in mystery, Emerson’s own future is said to be far from settled.

But despite all the transfer rumours, it seems that he has no desire to leave the club just yet, he told the official website: “I have a strong connection with Italy and I put in great work at Roma. So when the transfer window opens, there are always these kind of rumours.

“[However] it’s difficult to see anything happening now since I’m quite happy here. It’s not the right time [to leave the club].”

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted that he didn’t always think he was cut out for management.

Regarded as one of the finest players to ever grace the game, Lampard decided to make the decision to try himself as a manager in the game when he took over Derby last season.

His performances as boss, his tactical decisions and the fact that he demanded respect from players meant that it did not take long for us to come calling, and after getting rid of Maurizio Sarri.

Many have doubted whether he can get the side back to the very top of the game, but he has put together a young, exciting side that is attracting all sorts of interest, and with his side in the hunt for a top four spot, he could exceed all expectations this season.

However, he has come out and admitted that he did not believe he had what it took to become a manager, he said on the official website: “I wouldn’t say players spoke about it much.

“I think players tend to be very much in the moment and I probably was like that to a degree as well.

“I wouldn’t have sat there and spoken too much with other players about it, and some of my former team-mates who have gone into management have surprised me.

“I’ve read that some others are surprised I’ve done it, because of how I was as a player.

“I wasn’t always hugely vocal in the dressing room as vice-captain, I wasn’t expected to be, because of the attributes John [Terry] had and the slightly different ones I had.”

Liverpool target Timo Werner has been told that Chelsea would be a good move for him to make.

There is no doubt that we need to delve into that transfer kitty during the summer window and add a few players to the side that will be able to add a few more goals, creativity and quality to that attack.

Timo Werner is seen as a player that most premier League clubs would love to have in the squad, but it is Liverpool that are leading the chase to try and sign the young man, if you believe all the reports in the media.

However, former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has opened up and told Werner where he would be better off if he did leave in the summer window. find out in the video below…

Italian football expert Gabriele Marcotti says Inter are desperate to sell Chelsea target Mauro Icardi this summer transfer window

Frank Lampard is keen to add another striker to the side in the summer, so many named have been linked, so many top-players, but Icardi has been a name that has been mentioned a bunch of times in the transfer headlines.

But despite the fact that many believe he could make the move to here, Marcotti does not think Icardi would suit the style of play, saying he is completely different to current Blues strikers Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.

“Look, you can take everything that we’ve said about Inter and put it on hold because everything is pending finding a buyer for Mauro Icardi,” Marcotti told ESPN FC.

“If PSG decide not to take him up and he comes back the other way, then I think it would be a serious, serious issue for them because then they wouldn’t have the liquidity to do other things

“So it’s understandable if he’s being linked to other clubs. He does have a tremendous scoring rate.

“I personally don’t think Chelsea would be a good match for them really at all, simply because of Icardi’s style, because of his work rate, because he’s so different to what Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud bring to the table.

“He really is a supply-dependant striker, a very good one, but he’s somebody you need to create chances for.

“That’s very different from someone like Abraham, who’s so busy.

“It wouldn’t make too much sense to me but I’m not surprised that Inter or whatever intermediaries out there are trying to drum up interest Mauro Icardi, because if Paris Saint-Germain don’t keep him around it’s a bit of a disaster for Inter.”
