Lampard told impressive powerhouse striker Edouard ‘will do well’ at the Chelsea
Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas reckons Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard would do well at Chelsea.
Now we all know that the January transfer window is now shut, and we also know that we failed to do any transfer business that would help Frank Lampard improve the side and help take the club back to the top by the end of the season.
But there is a feeling that Lampard will improve the squad in the summer with a few top-class additions, as reports have suggested that he will have around £150 million in the kitty to improve his side in all the key areas of the squad that actually need working on.
And reports have also claimed that he is keen to add a striker to the side, especially as Olivier Giroud looks all but certain to leave the club after failing to get his switch away during the January transfer window, simply because we failed to land the striker they needed.
Edouard, 22, is enjoying a purple patch of form right now, with 20 goals in 22 league appearances this season, and former Celtic and Arsenal striker Nicholas thinks he could be ready for the step up to the Premier League.
He told the Sun : “Edouard is good enough to go and play at a Chelsea or a Manchester United.
“I say that with some confidence. I think he could go into both their squads and make a real impact. That is how much ability he has.”
Look, Edoouard has had a brilliant season for Celtic this year and is ready to make the move to the Premier League, for the right price of course. But maybe he is not ready to make that step and play for a big club like ours?
