Dutchman opens up and sends Premier League plea with Chelsea linked

Lyon winger and Chelsea target Memphis Depay has issued a come get me plea amid Premier League interest.

Manchester United decided to offload Depay in 2017 after the winger failed to make the kind of impact that many expected after his big money move to Old Trafford, but the Dutchman has re-established himself in France with some eye-catching patches of form and his performances have actually linked him with a move back to the Premier League.

That led to speculation that both Arsenal and Liverpool may be interested in trying to secure a transfer deal last summer, especially as both clubs were looking to add something different to their attacks during the summer window.

But there has also been some reports that Chelsea may seek to try and bring him back to the Premier League in a bargain deal, if they are unable to secure a transfer deal for the brilliant Kai Havertz.

Depay was quoted on the SUN: “I do not see the future, I do not know if I will do the full season here.

“I have been here for four years, I became captain.

“After you have to look at your career, there is no Champions League. At the moment I don’t know.

“I’m really happy to have scored three goals today.

“It wasn’t the best game I’ve played but we start the season with three points, and that’s the most important thing.”
