Chelsea free to sign World class star for just €50 million

It has been claimed that CHELSEA have been told the price they will need to pay if they wish to sign Denzel Dumfries.
Dumfries is a player that we have been eyeing up for some time – but have never made an official offer – but after seeing him impress at the World Cup – and then in the Champions League and Seria A last season – the club are determined to sign the defender
They were heavily linked with a move for the defender during the summer window, and there some big claims that they were actually closing in a potential deal as the Italians were ready to do some business.
However – a move failed to materialise as Inter wanted to keep hold this season in hope that they could convince Dumfries to end all the speculation and commit to his long-term future at the club
The versatile Dutch full-back’s current contract expires in 2024 and it remains to be seen if the Serie A giants will consider offering him a new deal.
Inter are now set to demand €50 million for their star player Denzel Dumfries, according to La Gazzetta via Fichajes.
Amid all the speculation and the rumours – reporter Iomie Stanley said: ‘Chelsea do not need to splash the cash to sign a defender that will replace Reece James – just provide back-up.
‘The Dutchman is a starter – he is a player that will want to play every-game and that could cause issues.
‘James is one of the best wingbacks in the game, so CHELSEA. should be looking to sign a player that will provide him good competition – be a good back-up but also be ready to sit on the bench and be happy.
‘There is no harm in having two quality wingbacks in the squad – but with both of them eager to play – Dumfries would be a very good signing if he is prepared to wait for his chances.
