Chelsea target Jadon Sancho has a gentlemen’s agreement with Borussia Dortmund that would allow him to secure an exit under certain criteria, sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed

It is no secret that Sancho was the number one transfer target for the top clubs during the summer transfer window, but no deal could get done for the winger as his asking price was far too high.

Sancho endured a slow start to the 2020-21 campaign after being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League giants, but has started to get back to his best since the turn of the year

But with the transfer window just a few months away, there is already speculation in the media that he will be allowed to leave Dortmund at the end of the season, should the club make a significant offer for his services.

Now, amid all the speculation, Zorc has confirmed Sancho has a gentlemen’s agreement with Borussia Dortmund that would allow him to secure an exit under certain criteria, which will give the club a massive boost.

“We already had a gentlemen’s agreement with Jadon last year that he can switch under certain conditions,” Zorc told ARD .

“He’s been with us for a couple of years. However, this agreement does not exist with Erling.”

Sancho is a player that will go on to do great things, and will go on to demand a big asking price. we would be a fantastic place for him to develop, especially under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.
