Chelsea boss Lampard sent message about breaking transfer record for Chilwell
Chelsea have been told to not pay silly money to try and nail down the services of Ben Chilwell.
Leicester were sitting pretty in those top four spots for most of the season, but on the last day of the premier League season, the Foxes failed to qualify for the Champions League next season.
That means a whole host of the clubs players could look to leave the club ins search of top-level football, and one of those is Ben Chilwell, who is heavily tipped to make a move and sign with us
But Sinclair says we should avoid paying “over the odds” for a player who is far from being the only option available to them.
He told Gentingbet: “Ben Chilwell is still a tough nut to crack.
“When you hear the way that Brendan Rodgers talks about Ben Chilwell, so strongly and how much [he is] a part of Leicester City going forward, I guess it would be a difficult one and he’s always going to be a very, very overpriced signing.
“For me, there’s a lot of world-class full-backs out there and Frank has to get the right one for Chelsea Football Club.
“Obviously Ben Chilwell is a top player and England international, but I don’t think Chelsea should pay over the odds for him.”
Sinclair is right and we should not pay silly money to try and sign the man up, he is not worth breaking the transfer record for and there are plenty of options out that that are cheaper, and that have proved themselves at the very top of the game.
