Director tells chance to sign worldie striker – £150M star tipped leave Chelsea – Blues green light sign defender

Here is the latest Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys could have missed today –
Napoli director Mauro Meluso has opened up and told the likes of CHELSEA that there may be a chance to sign Victor Osimhen when the January window opens up in just a few months time
Osimhen was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the course of the summer window, as the club were desperate to add a striker to their attack before the season started, many reports in the media suggested.
But despite all the rumours, despite all the speculation that he could be heading to the Bridge – Osimhen never made that move to London as his asking price was far too high and in the end, he ended up making a loan move to Galatasaray.
As for the Galatasaray move, Meluso says it was a decision forced by the circumstances, and admits there could be a deal done for Osimhen to head elsewhere come January.
He said: “It was a last-minute solution so he would not lose the first three months of the season. We will see in January.”

Osimhen moved because he wanted game time and that is what he is getting – Napoli would probably have loved to keep the player – but at the end of the day – he just wanted minutes.
And when the January transfer window opens up – there may be an opportunity for the club to make a fresh move for the man – as they still need to sign a striker that can help Cole Palmer bang in the goals on a weekly basis.
COLE PALME TIPPED FOR MOVE –
Blues icon William Gallas has opened up and stunningly claimed that Cole Palmer could decide to leave CHELSEA at the end of the current season.
The highly talented 22-year-old attacking midfielder, has rapidly made a name for himself at Stamford Bridge since his move from Manchester City in 2023 and is the man at Stamford Bridge that Enzo Maresca will really rely on over the next 12 months.
He has recently signed a massive new contract at the club – but Whether he actually stays at Chelsea for a decade remains to be seen – but if you believe the words of Gallas, he could leave the club at the end of the season.
Speaking to Prime Casino, Gallas said: “Cole Palmer might want to leave CHELSEA in the future if they don’t show they can win trophies, but where would he go? Barcelona would be a great move for him, but they have great young players already like Lamine Yamal and might also be signing Nico Williams.
“Palmer looks like he is going to have a very similar season to last year and even though he is young, it will be tough to see his friends winning trophies if he isn’t at Chelsea despite the way he is playing.
‘I won’t be surprised if he wants to speak to Chelsea in the summer if they again fail to win a trophy. He will want to know clearly what their targets are.”
SKRINIAR CHANCE –
CHELSEA could make a fresh move to try and sign Milan Skriniar in the coming transfer windows – as the defender is not happy at PSG and is looking for a move away from the club.
It was no secret that The club were desperate to add a number of defenders to that back-line over the course of the summer transfer window – and were heavily linked with a move for Skriniar
Skriniar has made himself one of the very best defenders in the Italian game – but PSG did not want to sell – and would only allow him to leave the club if their valuation was met – and it obviously was not.
However – with the January transfer window just a few months away – The London based club is reportedly willing to offer €8 million per year in salary to lure the 28 year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, to Stamford Bridge
It is no secret that Paris Saint-Germain are looking to offload the former Sampdoria defender, as Skriniar is not in favour with PSG coach Luis Enrique. And he admitted that he’s “not happy” in his current situation.
