Attacker ‘to be the first Chelsea signing of Ted Boehly era’ fans are told

Blues fans have been told that Chelsea are favourites to sign Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele in the summer window

The France forward, 24, has failed to agree a new contract at the Nou Camp, with his current deal set to expire this summer, and that has led to alot of speculation that he could come to the Premier League

Chelsea were very much interested in getting some kind of transfer deal done, especially after the Spanish club told him he could leave in the January transfer window after failing to agree that new contract.

And amid all the speculation about his future – talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook says west London seems his most likely destination, where he would be reunited with his former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel.

Crook told <talkSPORT: “This one has really taken off overnight. Chelsea look like they are favourites to sign Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer.

“He’s been letting his contract run down at Barcelona and he would be the first signing of the Todd Boehly era.

“How do you think that would go down with Chelsea fans?”

It would be an interesting signing for the club , as we would all be interested to see just how he would manage to play in the Premier League when he has been unable to succeed in La Liga

He could be a world class player, but we firmly believe that he would not be able to make an impact for Chelsea, he is not the same player that he once was at Borussia Dortmund
