Defender tipped be a Blues this summer – Chelsea agree fee to sign attacker – Chelsea closing in on striker signing
Here is the latest Chelsea news and transfer gossip that you guys could have missed from icchelseanews today guys –
CHELSEA are set to sign Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid on a seven-year contract after agreeing to pay the Spanish giants £35 million in order to get a move done.
It is no secret that the board are still looking to buy the best young players in the game over the next few months and bring them to Stamford Bridge – with a host of stars linked.
20-year-old Spain U21 international Omorodion has only been with Atletico Madrid since moving in 2023 from Granada and his contract runs out in June 2028, having spent last season on loan at Deportivo Alaves, netting nine goals and providing one assist in 35 appearances
The club reportedly had a £34 million offer rejected last month, with Marca claiming that it would take another £46 million to do a deal with Atletico Madrid – but that no longer seems the case and the Blues have managed to get the lad for the fee that they wanted.
According to Fabrizio Romano, everything is set for the transfer to be confirmed, with the deal costing Chelsea £35m. Personal terms have already been agreed with the player, who is set to sign a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge until 2031.

Look, the lad is very talented – that is for sure- but what at the club doing? They need to make some experienced signings this summer and not keeping adding talents to the side or they may be in fighting to stay in the Premier League next season
The lad is decent – but not ready for a move to the Bridge guys
BEN CHILWELL CLAIM MADE –
Andy Cole has offered his verdict on CHELSEA target Ben Chilwell potentially joining Erik ten Hag’s side this summer.
It is no secret that Erik Ten Hag really struggled to get his side going in the Premier League last season – and that defence became a real source of worry for the Dutchman – as the club simply allowed too many goals to go in.
Manchester United are now looking to to recruit a new left-back and according to MailOnline, the club have Chilwell on their shortlist of options.
The 27-year-old, who we signed in a £50m deal from Leicester City in 2020, missed out on a place in England’s Euro 2024 squad after starting just nine Premier League games for the club last season.
We have had no desire to sell the England star – but would be open to a potential deal should they get close to that £50 million they paid Leicester City just a few seasons ago.
Chilwell would also add cover for the injury-prone Luke Shaw – who returned from a five-month absence as a substitute in England’s penalty shootout win against Switzerland in the Euros last month.
However – despite all the speculation – Cole believes that Chilwell will stay at Stamford Bridge this summer: “First and foremost, I would love to know where these rumours come from.,” he told Betfred.
“I think Chilwell is possibly Chelsea’s number one full-back anyway, but there’s also Marc Cucurella there too. In football, you just never know what can happen, but I’d be very surprised if that move materialised. However, stranger things have happened.”
CHELSEA CLOSING IN ON OSIMHEN SIGNING –
Miguel Delaney of the Independent says that CHELSEA and Napoli are negotiating a wage package and the structure for striker Victor Osimhen.
The Big Nigeria star has already admitted that he is leaving Napoli – the Italians have already confirmed that he will be getting sold in the summer – meaning that we will be able to get a deal done if they meet the big mans asking price.
The club have been linked with a move for the player in recent days – and if you believe the words of Delany – Chelsea and Napoli are negotiating a wage package and the structure for striker.
He adds that the nature of the deal could see this run into the final week of the window, but the clubs are said to be close to an agreement though.
Amid all the speculation and rumours – Fabrizio Ravanelli recently admitted he believes Osimhen would be ideal for the Premier League, and could be a great addition to that Blues side.
Speaking to Mega Dice, Ravanelli said: “Osimhen is very similar to [Erling] Haaland, although not quite up to his level just yet. But he is a fantastic player – very strong, with quality in the final third of the pitch.
“He scores goals in every way, with his right, his left and with headers. He is a complete striker, for me one of the best in the world.
“Manchester United would be a good club for him, despite them being in a difficult moment. They would be the ideal team for Osimhen – CHELSEA and Arsenal also need a striker like Osimhen.”
